8 things to do when you’re feeling lost
There is that old saying ‘time heals all wounds’ and whether I believe that or not, one thing I can be sure of is; if you’re going through a rough time there are some things you can do to keep your mind from wandering.
Stay occupied, busy yourself, do anything you can to stop yourself from pining and feeling disheartened with life.
If all that feels a little too difficult right now, start off small and follow these simple things to take the power back into your life.
Quit anything that isn’t making you happy
Unfollow those social media accounts that make you feel bad in yourself. Distance yourself from anything or anyone that makes you question your worth.
Surround yourself with the people who make you feel positive, those who bring out the best version of you.
Get in shape
Strong bodies and strong minds go hand in hand. When you’re exercising and looking after yourself it really can improve your whole mindset. Seeing the changes in not only your body but your fitness too, improves even the lowest of moods.
Think about some self-care
When we’re sick, we take tablets, we might even take a sick day. However, when we’re struggling emotionally, we don’t do these things, we tend to lapse in our self-care routine. Make yourself a priority, stick on a face mask, buy some yummy food, have a night out with your friends. Do whatever you can to give yourself that extra bit of care.
Give your appearance a revamp
I’m not recommending anything too drastic but go and get your hair blow dried, try a new lipstick do something that little bit different and by doing so you’re putting it out to the universe that you’re open to change.
Declutter your life
Put some time aside to clean your bedroom, organise all your clutter and get rid of things you no longer use or need. When I am organised, I feel like I can take on the world, and when my surroundings are tidier, my mind feels clearer too.
Build on your relationships
When times are hard you will realise only certain people who will stand by your side, appreciate these people the most. They’re the ones who are there for you when your world is falling apart.
Work on putting good foods into your diet. Stock up on fruit and veg and be aware of the changes in your energy levels as well as any changes in your skin.
A good diet leads to goodness not only on the outside but the inside too.
Be proud of yourself
Take a step back and look at the person you have become and be proud of all you have been through. You may not be exactly where you hoped you would be, but one day you will look back and realise why you had to go through all that you have.
Br proud of yourself.
